Dodgers get work in before rain ends day
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Dodgers had a curtailed workout Monday because of steady rain in the area, but they accomplished most of what they set out to do and added some items to the docket of a lengthy clubhouse meeting: Mattingly said some of the topics were the new pace-of-play rules and the team's plans for infield shifts. Davey Lopes also talked about base running. Hyun-Jin Ryu, who had some tightness in the middle of his back early in camp, threw his first bullpen session and reported no problems over 32 pitches.
