Los Angeles Marine to be honored at Dodger game

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Leon Pierce of Los Angeles will honored as the Veteran of the Game today as the Los Angeles Dodgers begin a three-game series against the Washington Nationals at Dodger Stadium.Pierce enlisted in 2002 and served with a mortar platoon, maintaining personnel and equipment and ensuring the unit was mentally and physically prepared for combat operations.
