Howie Kendrick, Scott Van Slyke and rookie Joc Pederson hit sixth-inning home runs, and the Los Angeles Dodgers stretched their winning streak to seven by beating the Colorado Rockies 7-0 Sunday. Brandon McCarthy (2-0) allowed three hits in six innings, struck out six and walked two to defeat the Rockies for the first time in five career starts. Eddie Butler (1-1) allowed two runs and six hits over five innings. All three Dodgers homers came off rookie Scott Oberg, who allowed his first five batters to reach base after relieving Butler and was charged with five runs.
