Chicago Cubs right-hander Jake Arrieta won the National League Cy Young Award on Wednesday, edging Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke and teammate Clayton Kershaw in a close race for the award given to the league's best pitcher.The final vote was predictably close. Arrieta received 17 first-place votes and 169 total points, compared to 10 first-place votes and 147 points for Greinke.
