Dodgers shut down by Cubs bullpen in 1-hit defeat
Coming off a long night with little sleep, the Los Angeles Dodgers got a needed break when starter Jason Hammel left with cramps after two innings. Travis Wood and Chicago's bullpen followed Hammel with seven perfect innings, and the Cubs one-hit the Dodgers 2-0 on Monday. Wood (3-0) pitched four innings in his longest stint of the season, helping the Cubs win their sixth straight and improve to 35-14, best in the majors.
