Steve Garvey's Hall of Fame bid has fallen short once again, this time at the hands of the 16-member Modern Era Committee. The Modern Era ballot features players whose contributions came primarily from 1970-87. The committee -- one of four tasked with choosing Hall of Famers from bygone eras -- will meet again at the 2019 Winter Meetings.
