Astros GM Luhnow earns new deal, title

Houston Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow was promoted to president of baseball operations and given a contract extension. The announcement on Monday comes eight months after the Astros claimed the World Series over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Luhnow received a contract extension that expires after the 2023 season, owner Jim Crane said Monday.
