The Los Angeles Dodgers' carefully assembled 2011 starting line-up of pitchers took a hit March 9 with the injury of right-handed starter Jon Garland. Garland threw a pitch to Josh Wilson during the game against Seattle in the second inning and immediately crouched down to the ground in pain. He rose slowly and motioned for Barajas and eventually Dodgers' trainer Stan Conte. After leaving the game with the Dodgers behind 1-0, things got worse and the Dodgers lost 9-4.
