Ben Casparius delivered another stellar performance in the Dodgers' win on Friday against the Mets, pitching three scoreless, hitless innings while striking out six of his 10 batters faced. It was the latest in a series of standout games for the rookie right-hander, who was a starting pitcher in the minors but for the Dodgers has been used in bulk relief, or sometimes high-leverage relief, or a mix of both. Matt Sauer pitched the first three innings once play resumed, and Casparius pitched the next three, in fantastic fashion, to get the Dodgers through the eighth inning.
