After falling behind 1-2 in the count while figuring out theunfamiliar, unconventional delivery of reliever Pat Neshek, Gwynndelivered a two-out RBI single in the top of the 11th, sending theDodgers on their way to a 4-2 win over the Padres in Saturday's completion ofFriday's suspended game. In the subsequent, scheduled Saturday game, Hiroki Kurodapitched 8 2/3 shutout innings as the Dodgers won 4-0. Andre Ethierhomered and drove in two runs.
