LOS ANGELES -- Jose Reyes was on the field early Mondayafternoon, fielding grounders, hopping side to side and doingeverything with his typical, adrenalin-fueled energy level. Butwhen the Mets began the real pregame work,Reyes retreated to the dugout, taking a seat next to a trainer onthe bench. For the Mets , it would mark the secondstraight day without Reyes in the lineup, a condition that, despitemedical reports that hint he could be back as soon as tonight, could linger all the way through the All-Star break. And asMonday's 5-2 win would indicate, life isn't easy without Reyes.
