LOS ANGELES -- Over his first 100 at-bats in the majors, Pirates pitcher Ross Ohlendorf hadjust seven hits. None of them went for extra bases. None of themdrove in a run. Yet, somehow, Ohlendorf morphed into a slugger Thursday night onhis first swing against Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander DanaEveland. Ohlendorf jacked a three-run, opposite-field homer andsparked the Pirates to a 6-2 victory. "It's been a while," said Ohlendorf, who hit a couple of homeruns in Double-A, but has flashed only occasional batting-practicepower in the majors.
