Ryan Braun is not one to shrink from a big moment. He's proventhat throughout his career with the Milwaukee Brewers , as demonstrated by hisplayoff-clinching home run in 2008 and his division-clinching homerthis season. But as he was on the brink of receiving the biggest honor of hiscareer, Braun admits he had a case of nerves. He woke up early Tuesday, went for a little drive and thensettled on the balcony of his home in Malibu, Calif., keeping hiscell phone and house phone close at hand as he looked out over thePacific Ocean and awaited the call that would tell him whether hehad won the NL MVP Award. "I'm not going to pretend like I wasn't anxious or nervousbecause obviously I was," Braun said during a teleconferenceshortly after receiving the word that he had beaten out Matt Kempof the Los Angeles Dodgers for the honor. "It's honestly difficultto put into words what this means to me. It's an amazingexperience. The last couple of hours since I have known have beenpretty incredible, very emotional and something I'm extremely proudof."
