That defensive shift has robbed the Adrian Gonzalez of quite a few hits this season. He entered Monday night's contest batting .253, and he even took to bunting for a hit toward the empty third-base side on Sunday, but manager Don Mattingly remains confident Gonzalez's numbers will come around.
