Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen has undergone surgery to remove a growth from a bone in his left foot and will miss the start of the regular season. The team says Jansen will be on crutches for about 10 days after Tuesday's surgery in Los Angeles. The growth was found when Jansen reported discomfort while running last week. Jansen saved 44 games in 49 chances last season.
