SAN DIEGO >> Brandon McCarthy did not allow three home runs Saturday because his elbow was feeling tight. More likely, he did so because the ball was flying out of Petco Park, an unusual phenomenon on an unusually gloomy day, and a bad omen for a pitcher who's been susceptible to the long ball this year.
