SAN DIEGO >> The Dodgers finally bit the bullet Sunday on Yasiel Puig, placing the star outfielder on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring. Puig was able to grab a bat and head to the batting cage prior to Sunday's game against the San Diego Padres, but manager Don Mattingly was tired of playing short-handed, waiting for Puig's hamstring to come back to 100 percent.
