The San Francisco Giants began emerging from one of their worst starts since coming to the Bay Area with a sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers last week, and Tim Lincecum kicked off that three-game set by earning his first win of the season. After having his latest start rained out, the right-hander is expected to get the chance to lead the Giants to another win in Monday night's series opener in Los Angeles. San Francisco has won four of five since its 4-10 start, which matched its worst since moving from New York after the 1957 season. The Giants (8-11) didn't have a chance to earn another victory Sunday because their finale in Colorado was postponed.
