The Los Angeles Dodgers shut down Yasiel Puig two weeks ago with an eye toward getting his strained left hamstring back to one-hundred percent. Unfortunately, it appears as though Puig's ailment is nowhere near that desired status after suffering a setback during Friday's rehab appearance with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga. On Saturday, the Dodgers announced that Puig will not be ready to come off the disabled on Monday, which had been the targeted returned. Instead, his timeline will be reassessed on Monday after he undergoes an MRI in Los Angeles. Mattingly misspoke yesterday.
