DENVER -- At some point Sunday, the sun peeked out from between the clouds over Coors Field. The layer of snow on the turf disappeared, with credit due also to Rockies owner Dick Monfort's shovel and the underground heating coils.But it wasn't until the eighth inning of a 40-degree afternoon that the home run -- a staple in 20 years of mile high baseball -- made its first appearance.
