Delino DeShields provided a suitable replacement in left field for the injured Josh Hamilton while giving the Texas Rangers a viable threat in the leadoff spot. DeShields' status is unclear as Yovani Gallardo takes the hill looking to continue his solid run against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night. Hamilton hasn't played since May 31 and was placed on the disabled list June 4 with a strained left hamstring.
