Free agent pitcher Chris Perez has been nailed with a 50-game suspension for use of a drug of abuse, Major League Baseball announced on Wednesday. The penalty comes as a direct result of Perez's second offense under the league's drug policy. Prior to his arrest, Perez, who's now 29, was among baseball's best relievers from 2010-2012, when he served as the Cleveland Indians closer.
