CHICAGO >> Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman has had preliminary conversations with other teams about acquiring starting pitching with five weeks remaining before baseball's non-waiver trade deadline.Friedman said the talks are motivated less by the performance of the Dodgers' fourth and fifth starters, Mike Bolsinger and Carlos Frias, than the prospect of losing another starter to injury.
