Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke was masterful again Sunday against the Washington Nationals. Greinke tossed eight scoreless innings against the Nats, picking up the 5-0 victory. With the performance, Greinke has now thrown 42 2/3 consecutive innings without giving up a run. That streak is the fourth longest since the post-1960 expansion era , according to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times. Greinke was able to accomplish the feat despite losing his starting catcher during the contest. Yasmani Grandal was removed from the game after taking a foul off his catcher's mask. A.J. Ellis entered the game in the sixth, but was able to guide Greinke through two more scoreless frames. With the performance, Greinke is now within striking distance of the record for consecutive scoreless innings. That record was set by Dodgers pitcher Orel Hershiser in 1988....
