As a star baseball player at UCLA in the late 1990s, Chase Utley often played shortstop when he was not the Bruins' designated hitter. He eventually settled in at second base, and that was the position the Philadelphia Phillies expected him to play when they drafted him 15th overall in 2000.Utley has since played 1,453 games at second base in his major league career, more than all but two active players.
