Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley's appeal of a two-game Major League Baseball suspension will not be heard until next week after the team's current playoff series concludes. League commissioner Rob Manfred said Tuesday that the appeal would be heard on Monday, well after the Dodgers and New York Mets complete their ongoing best-of-five series. Utley was originally suspended for games three and four of the series for what was deemed an illegal slide into Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada, who suffered a broken leg on the play and will miss the remainder of the playoffs.
