Short of the Dodgers winning the World Series, and thanks to a bunch of moves that happened last winter and a bunch of others that didn't, the chances of manager Don Mattingly returning for a sixth season always seemed dubious.As a result, Mattingly and the Dodgers' decision announced Thursday to mutually part ways seems more procedural than shocking.
