Dodgers’ hiring of Roberts as manager is a bold move

Nearly 70 years after the Dodgers promoted Jackie Robinson to the big leagues and altered the long, sad history of American race relations forever, they've taken another first step.Only this one is a bit more personal, decidedly more quiet and arrives much less dramatically then when Robinson became the first African-American to play in the Major Leagues.
