Major League Baseball will investigate a blunder that prevented an all-male gay singing group from performing the national anthem before last weekend's game between the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers, officials said Monday. Padres chief executive Mike Dee said the team fully supported an investigation into the controversial incident, which overshadowed Saturday's game. "We are pleased that MLB will look into this matter and the Padres will cooperate fully," he said in a post on his Twitter account.
