PITTSBURGH -- For the second consecutive day, an early four-run inning by the Pittsburgh Pirates put the Dodgers in a hole.This time, though, they climbed out of it to claim a 5-4 victory Monday afternoon, avoiding their first four-game sweep against the Pirates since 1944.Sunday night, Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw allowed four runs in the second inning and the Dodgers couldn't make up for it in a 4-3 loss.
