Dodger Stadium hosts first Catholic Night, where Valley bishop throws first pitch

It's not clear which team God might favor Friday at Dodger Stadium: the Los Angeles Dodgers backed by L.A.'s bishops, or a friar team dubbed the San Diego Padres.But during the first-ever "Catholic Night" at Dodger Stadium Friday night, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will get home field advantage: The first two ceremonial pitches will be thrown by local bishops, including newly appointed Auxiliary Bishop Joseph V.
