Right-hander Jesse Chavez can earn up to $2.5 million in bonuses based on starts in his deal with the Los Angeles Angels. The 33-year-old California native went 2-2 with a 4.43 ERA in 62 games last season for Toronto and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Chavez is likely to compete for a spot in the Angels' starting rotation, which has lost depth because of injuries.
