LOS ANGELES >> Pitchers and catchers were soon to report to spring training when Bud Black, Dave Roberts, Dick Enberg and a mutual friend sat down for breakfast at Milton's restaurant in Del Mar in February. The managers were due to report too, and this was the first time Black and Roberts would begin a season managing from opposite dugouts.
