Spring training for the Los Angeles Dodgers came to a bizarre end when the final game of the Freeway Series against their crosstown rivals the LA Angels was abandoned due to a broken sewage pipe. With the Dodgers leading the Angels 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth innings, a small pool of sewage spilled onto the field at Dodger Stadium, forcing officials to temporarily suspend the game. The pool first appeared on the dirt warning track just beyond the third-base dugout.
