Pinch-hitter Matt Kemp delivered a two-run double in the ninth and Kenley Jansen collected his second save of the day as the Dodgers rallied to finish off a doubleheader sweep in Washington and spoil a strong effort from Max Scherzer. The Nats' ace racked up 13 strikeouts over seven innings, becoming the fastest in MLB history to 100 K's in a season. Dodgers starter Rich Hill was forced to exit with a finger blister after two pitches.
