Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Rhys Hoskins was facing Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen on Monday when he fouled a fastball directly off his own teeth. Hoskins remained on the ground for several moments and spit up blood before leaving the game. The foul ball came on a 1-2 count with two outs in the ninth. Pedro Florimon took his place at the plate before striking out for the last out in a 5-4 Dodgers win.
