Already shelved by Tommy John surgery, Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager will have arthroscopic surgery on his left hip Tuesday, the team announced Monday. The surgery will be performed in New York City by Dr. Bryan Kelly, and Seager is expected to resume baseball activities in January, per the team. Seager was already ruled out for the season after spraining the ulnar collateral ligament in his right (throwing) elbow, requiring Tommy John surgery in May. The team has been optimistic he'll be ready to return early in the 2019 season.
