Third baseman Justin Turner's left thumb was sore and swollen after the Dodgers' 7-2 loss to the D-backs on Wednesday night, a result of taking a hard single from Paul Goldschmidt off his glove hand in the fifth inning. He was sent for X-rays, which were negative.
