The Nationals became the latest team to test out a reliever as an opener. Lefty pitcher Matt Grace opened the Nationals game Saturday against the Dodgers, an attempt by Washington to try and get something out of its bullpen, which has been battered over and over again this season. In those two innings Grace also had his ninth career at-bat, a lefty-lefty matchup against the Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw.
