Astros manager Dusty Baker calls on MLB to stop ‘seemingly premeditated retaliation’ for sign-stealing
A pitcher intentionally throwing at a hitter to get some sort of retaliation, for whatever reason, is not uncommon in baseball. On Friday, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Ross Stripling was asked whether he would consider throwing at any Astros hitters as retaliation for the sign-stealing the organization used in 2017, the same season Houston defeated LA in the World Series. After wavering back and forth, Stripling told reporters he "would lean towards yes," if it was the right time and right place.
