When Egypt and Israel signed their peace treaty in 1979, my Dad explained the significance of it to me by saying that it was "like Babe Ruth dying."I was 11 years old.  I guess that's how you communicated with me back then.I'll need a different touchstone for my kids to explain the importance of what happened this week. I'm thinking maybe, Harry Potter ... (but doing something a bit less grave.  Dad could be a serious fellow sometimes.)
