ST. LOUIS -- The Dodgers released their National League Championship Series roster Friday morning and there were two mild surprises in the bullpen. Neither of two left-handers, Paco Rodriguez or Chris Capuano made the cut, while Carlos Marmol and Edinson Volquez both were on the team.J.P. Howell is the only left-handed reliever to make the roster, somewhat surprising since the St. Louis Cardinals had a .672 OPS vs. left-handed pitchers, third-worst in the league.
