LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the worst defensive teams in the league, both to the naked eye and when you examine the metrics. It's not a secret, no matter if you're a traditionalist bucking new-age measurements or all about the numbers. This probably wouldn't be a major problem if the offense was clicking, but the ugly truth is it has been inconsistent at best and downright nonexistent at worst. Until the lineup gets hot, the defensive lapses will continue to spotlight losses like Sunday's 6-3 defeat to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
