SAN DIEGO -- The Los Angeles Dodgers have been happy with many of the strides Yasiel Puig has made in baseball fundamentals this season. But there's one area that has them concerned not only for Puig's performance but his safety: sliding.Puig has been bothered by a strained left hip muscle for the past two weeks, an injury he picked up making an awkward slide in Colorado. He had to come out of Friday night's game in San Diego, but he was back in the lineup Saturday.
