LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers will take their chances any day of the week with Clayton Kershaw on the mound with a reasonable pitch count in the seventh inning holding a four-run lead, but this isn't any month of the year.Kershaw had another October meltdown against the St. Louis Cardinals in the Dodgers' 10-9 loss in Game 1 of the National League Division Series on Friday at Dodger Stadium. Kershaw had thrown only 81 pitches going into the seventh, but out of nowhere, the Cardinals erupted for eight runs and snatched home-field advantage in the series.
