GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly and his coaches spent part of their Friday morning talking about how many talented young players they have in camp. Just a couple of years ago, the topic, if it came up, would have centered on the lack of talent in the farm system."You start to reap the rewards, getting guys closer to the big leagues," Mattingly said, "and it's fun to have them in camp."The improvement in the Dodgers' system is hard to miss this spring.
